This week we will read chapters 1-35 of the book of Isaiah. Isaiah was a prophet during the reign of four different kings we read about in Chronicles. He reminded them over and over about their disobedience and God’s wrath. He also reminded them of God’s blessings when they would be obedient.

There are many prophecies about the Messiah in the Old Testament. Isaiah has more than any other book. His prophecies are more direct, easier to find than some of the others. “The virgin shall conceive and bear a son, and name Him Immanuel.” Isaiah lived about 700 years before the birth of Christ.
