Man pleads guilty in crash that killed officer and his son

VALLEY CENTER, Kan. (AP) — A Valley Center man will be sentenced Nov. 23 for a crash that killed a Wichita police officer and the officer's 10-year-old son.

James Neal Dalrymple, 39, pleaded guilty Friday to two counts of involuntary manslaughter while driving under the influence.

Prosecutors said Dalrymple, 39, pulled his pickup truck into the path of a motorcycle at a Wichita intersection on April 27, 2018.

Stacey Woodson, 37, and his son, Braeden, were on the motorcycle. The elder Woodson died the day of the wreck and Braeden died two days after the collision.
