Motorcyclist injured in Woodward County collision

A Woodward woman was injured when her motorcycle collided with a vehicle driven by an Alva woman Wednesday. The wreck occurred at 7:25 p.m. at US-183 and County Road EW 54, 3.1 miles east of Mutual.

According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol report, Jennifer Collier, 44, of Woodward, was driving a 2006 Harley Davidson motorcycle northbound on US-183 at excessive speeds. Kayla Wilson, 22, of Alva was driving a 2018 Chevrolet Equinox westbound on the county road and stopped at the stop sign. Wilson proceeded to cross US-183 and was struck by the motorcycle.

Collier was ejected from the motorcycle approximately 146 feet to the west and 24 feet to the north, coming to rest in the northeast ditch.

Collier was transported by Seiling EMS to the helipad in Seiling, and Air Evac transported her to OU Medical in Oklahoma City. She was admitted with arm, trunk external and leg injuries.

The OHP report states Collier was not wearing a helmet and had an odor of alcohol. The cause of the collision is still under investigation.
