South Barber Counselor Kathie Kersten received an SCCF grant that enables her to promote healthy, social and emotional behavior to students.
South Barber K-12 counselor Kathie Kersten applied for and received a grant from the South Central Community Foundation in the amount of $398.
With the grant money Kersten said she'll purchase three series of books for the elementary school that will address emotions, behavior and social skills. Kersten said she will use the books with students individually or in small groups.
She encourages teachers to borrow the books and use as needed in their classrooms.
The school thanks the South Central Community Foundation for their support of USD 255....
