Alva received 1.16 inches of rainfall in the most recent storms, according to the Mesonet. The May Ranch, located by the Kansas border received 1.30 inches while Freedom measured 0.59 inches.

According to the five day rainfall total as of Wednesday, the May Ranch received 1.79 inches, Alva 1.61 and Freedom 1.18. The largest amount of rainfall in the state was Red Rock with 4.29 inches over the five-day period.

The early Wednesday storm that traveled through Woods County triggered some strong winds. The May Ranch recorded the highest wind gust in the state at 79 mph at 1:20 a.m. Freedom’s highest wind gust was 51 mph at 1:40 a.m., and Alva’s highest was 50 mph at 2:00 a.m. Buffalo and Woodward each showed peak wind of 60 mph.
