ENID, Okla. – The Northwestern Men's Golf team finished up the Ranger Invitational on Tuesday at the Meadowlake Golf Course. The Rangers were able to take two teams and an individual to the tournament. The Ranger red team finished in fourth place while recording a team score of 607 over the two rounds, while the Ranger black team recorded an eight-place finish by carding a team score of 654.

"This week we wrapped up the fall season with the Ranger Fall Invitational,” said Northwestern Golf Coach David Rogers. “We had 16 teams in this year's tournament, six women's teams, ten men's teams. This was a special tournament as it allowed all of our players to showcase their games. I couldn't be more proud of the way they fought and battled. The course was set up well by the staff at Meadowlake. Add in the strong south breeze, fast greens, and tough pins it makes it tough to post a low score. Again, I couldn't be more proud of all of them and also proud to be a Ranger! I look forward to the off-season to really dive into the mechanics of their swings.”

The Ranger red team was led by senior Luke Cooley, who finished the tournament tied for eighth place with a total two-round score of 149. Cooley carded a 76 in the first round while recording an eagle on hole 12. The senior improved his score on day two by carding a 73 on round. In round two, Cooley would tally four birdies in the round.

Keenan Hofstad was next for the Rangers while carding a 72 in round one while dropping three birdies along the way. In round two, Hofstad recorded a 78 with one birdie. Hofstad would end with a total score of 150.

Logan Johnson carded a two-round score of 70-83 - 153. Johnson would record four birdies along the way.

Cade Seymour and Joey Nix would round out the score for the red team. Seymour would finish the tournament shooting a 78-77 - 155 with two birdies. Nix carded an 84-84 - 168 over the two rounds with one birdie.

The junior Zac Caldwell led the Ranger black team; he finished the tournament in a tie for 16th place. Caldwell carded a two-round score of 76-77 - 153. The junior recorded five birdies along the way.
