Enid, Okla. – Northwestern Women's Golf team finished up the Ranger Invitational on Tuesday at the Meadowlake Golf Course in Enid. The Red-and-Black would tally a total team score of 698, earning them a third-place finish.

"This week, we wrapped up the fall season with the Ranger Fall Invitational. We had 16 teams in this year's tournament, six women's teams, 10 men's teams,” said Northwestern Golf Coach David Rogers. “This was a special tournament as it allowed all of our players to showcase their games. I couldn't be more proud of the way they fought and battled. The course was set up well by the staff at Meadowlake. Add in the strong south breeze, fast greens and tough pins, it makes for a tough task to post a low score. Again, I couldn't be more proud of all of them and also proud to be a Ranger! I look forward to the off-season to really dive into the mechanics of their swings."

The Rangers were led by Junior Samantha Friday. The junior posted a two-round score of 169, leading to her getting 13th place in the tournament. Friday carded an 84 in round one and an 84 and an 85 in the round while recording three birdies along the way.

Alexis Webb was the next finisher for the Red and Black, carding an 89 in the first round and an 86 in round two. Webb went on to shoot a 175 in the tournament; she would add one birdie in the two rounds.

Angela Egger was up next for the Rangers, recording an 89-89 - 178 in the two rounds.

Savannah Monahan posted a two-round score of 86-94 - 180 in the tournament.

Mackena Tennyson carded a two-round score of 94-90 - 184 while recording one birdie.

The lone individual for the Rangers was Averie Larson, who carded a 100-94 - 194 in her first college tournament.

Texas A&M Commerce claimed the tournament title after carding a team score of 615. The Lions were led by Sarah Wongsinth, who carded a 73-78 - 151 over the two rounds.
