Carmen couple charged with child abuse, child neglect and abandonment

Two people from Carmen are facing multiple charges after their son, born prematurely at home, died less than a month later at the hospital. The infant boy and his twin sister each weighed less than two pounds at birth. The parents are alleged to have been purchasing and using methamphetamine during the pregnancy.

Court records show on July 6, Monica Ann Holland was arrested in Carmen by Alfalfa County Sheriff Rick Wallace and Undersheriff Gary Mast on an Alfalfa County misdemeanor warrant for possession of controlled dangerous substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. Holland told them s...
