District Champs Chieftains to play for Regional Championship Friday night

The South Barber High School Chieftains are 8-1 in the post-season. The team is ranked fifth in the state for Kansas 8-Man Division II. South Barber hosts the Norwich Eagles Friday at 7 p.m. on the gridiron in Kiowa.
In their second game of the season, the Chieftains lost to Norwich by two points, their only loss of the season. Head Coach Matt Cantrell said, “The kids are excited for a rematch against Norwich. They are a good, solid team with a record of 5-2.
“There shouldn't be a lack of intensity Friday night. The kids are excited and so are we. It's a great opportunity for us.”
