Alva Arena project still waiting for financing

The Alva Arena Authority trustees met Tuesday noon, their first meeting since July 6. It was hoped by this time there would be an announcement about financing for the project being secured, but this is not the case.
The arena authority has secured private donations and pledges along with support from the City of Alva and Woods County. The problem is with governmental agency red-tape. Although the trustees have tried, nothing seems to make the wheels of government move any faster.
