One teenage girl killed, one wounded in Wichita shooting

WICHITA, Kan. (AP) — One teenage girl is dead and another wounded after an argument turned into a shooting in Wichita.

Police say the shooting happened around 10:30 p.m. Sunday. Sixteen-year-old Brandi Williams was found unresponsive in the front yard of a home and died at a hospital. An 18-year-old female was also shot but was treated at a hospital and released.

Several people were at the home when an argument broke out involving the girls and two boys, ages 14 and 16, police said. The boys "produced firearms and began firing in the direction of the two females," a news release said.
