Lakin Gaddy wins gold medal at State Cross-Country and All-State Honors

Top 5 finishers for 3A girls State Cross Country - Lakin Gaddy, top right, placed fifth and received a gold medal.
The AHS cross-country team competed at state last weekend in Edmond and placed 11th as a team. Freshman Lakin Gaddy earned a gold medal by crossing the finish line fifth. In cross-country the top five runners receive a gold medal. By being in the top 10 individuals, Lakin received All-State Honors.
Coach Kris Gore said that Lakin PR'd. She beat her best time by 20 seconds with her state run total at 12 minutes: 33 seconds.
The coach said two other AHS runners also PR'd. They are Daxton Williams who finished in 19 minutes and also Carly Argo.
