Final district maps could be approved next week

Next week, on Nov. 15, the Legislature will convene in special session to complete our work on redistricting. Every 10 years, following the year in which the U.S. Census is conducted, the members of the Senate and House have the responsibility of drawing and approving new maps for our 48 Senate districts, 101 House districts and five congressional seats to ensure the population is distributed as evenly as possible.
