We’ve all been there – stuck in a bad situation, one of our own creation, one that someone else caused, a simple case of bad timing or bad luck. It doesn’t matter how we got there, all that matters is that we don’t see a way out. “I lift up my eyes to the hills,” the psalmist says, “from where will my help come?” That’s what we really want to know, isn’t it? When we’re mired down in the pain and brokenness of life we just want to know, is there any help out there?
