Woods County Excise Board approved treasurers' school budget

The Woods County Excise Board approved monthly appropriations and the treasurer’s service budget and billing for schools Wednesday. Present for the meeting were board members Joe Shirley, Chris Olson and Bob Seivert. County Clerk Shelley Reed was also present.

After approving minutes of the special meeting on Oct. 25, the board members approved the following monthly appropriations for the county:

District #1 Highway Cash $156,335.11

District #2 Highway Cash $156,444.94

District #3 Highway Cash $837,793.93

District #1 CBRI Fund-105 $12,574.50

District #2 CBRI Fund-105 $12,574.51

District #3 CBRI Fund-105 $12,574.50

Enhanced 911 $14,597.09

Assessor’s Fee $103.00

County Clerk’s Lien Fee $2,302.79

County Clerk’s Preservation Fee $2,300.00

Sheriff’s Revolving Fund $798.01

Treasurer’s Resale $2,350.33

Sheriff’s Commissary $36.18

Sheriff’s Service Fee, CHS $5,587.71

Mortgage Tax $170.00

Sheriff Drug Task Force $7.00

Federal Rescue Plan Act of 2021 $421.99

The board members acknowledged the report of appropriations transfers by County Clerk Reed. Within the highway fund, District 1 transferred $17,903.86 from the CIRB account to personal services, and District 2 transferred $17,903.87 from the CIRB account to personal services.

The transfer of funds to the ETR fund for payment of District 2’s no-interest loan to chip and seal roads was approved. The funds will come from District 2’s Highway $20,000, CBRI $20,000 and restricted CBRI fund #6100 $6,277.44.

The board members also voted to approve the 2021-2022 School Treasurers’ Service Budget and Billing Breakdown. The budget includes treasurer’s expenses of $11,850.00 for personal services, $850.00 for software and $1,300.00 for miscellaneous supplies and travel for a total of $14,000.

Those expenses involving collection of school revenue are then allocated to each of the schools as follows:
