Kiowa City Council, electrical surcharge to soon be removed, water project winterized

At the November meeting of the Kiowa City Council, City Administrator Sam Demel reported that the waterline replacement in town is 63 percent complete. The NOWAK crew has been winterizing the holes and is almost done until the first of the year. On the transmission line from the water wells south of Sharon, Kansas, down Tri-City Road to Hazelton, he said they still await a railroad right-of-way.
