Voices were raised and tempers flared during the Woods County Commissioners meeting Monday morning. The disagreement concerns the redistricting of the county based on 2020 census figures.

Commissioner John Smiley brought up his objection during the Nov. 10 meeting with Keana Swadley, GIS analyst, as she explained changes to equalize the population in the three county districts. During the regular Nov. 15 commissioner meeting, Smiley again raised the issue, and action was tabled on the final redistricting resolution.
