Waynoka and Timberlake head to Class C semis

While other area schools prepare for basketball, it's still football season at Waynoka and Timberlake. The two 8-man teams will play in the Class C semifinals Friday night.

Timberlake continues to be undefeated with a 12-0 season record and 7-0 in Class C. The Tigers beat Oaks Mission 54-0 in the first round of playoffs Nov. 12. In the quarterfinals last Friday, they shutout Boise City at Helena 46-0, playing only three quarters.

On Friday, Nov. 26, Timberlake will travel to Woodward High School to face the Tyrone Bobcats. The Bobcats have lost only one game this year and are ranked third in Class C for the state while Timberlake is ranked second. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m.

The Waynoka Railroaders coached by Tanner Allen are 10-2 on the season and 6-1 in league play. They have a fourth place ranking in Class C. Waynoka blanked Temple 46-0 in the opening round of playoffs, and Friday night they defeated Maud 44-6 at Maud to reach the semis.

This Friday, Nov. 26, Waynoka travels to Bethany to take on Mountain View-Gotebo, the number one ranked team in Class C. The Mt. View-Gotebo Tigers beat Wesleyan Christian 70-19 to reach the semis. Kickoff is 7 p.m. in Bethany on the Southern Nazarene University field.
