Alva Board of Education members took action Monday to explore adding air conditioning to the gymnasium. This would make it possible to hold the high school graduation ceremony in that location instead of the auditorium where seating is limited. It would also improve the ability of the school to hold summer athletic camps.

Superintendent Tim Argo said the contract with TriArch Architecture is to draw up engineering specifications for the HVAC renovation. They would also look at adding air conditioning to the old gym which could be used for a graduation audience overflow.
