It's bill drafting time at the state Capitol. Representatives have until Dec. 10 to request bills be drafted for the 2022 legislative session, which convenes at noon on Feb. 7.

This year I'm requesting several bills.

One will address medical marijuana. I think it should be treated like all other medications, and one area I would like to address is inspections and testing. I want samples to be properly inspected and held by inspectors to standards similar to all other medicines.

We need a better handle on the variety of strains of this drug to better provide safe medical product to our citizens...
