Repairs on the east wall of the youth section of the Alva Public Library are nearly complete. The wall was damaged by leaking water coming through the outside wall. Library Director Sandra Hamilton said the outer wall which is part of the pocket park has been sealed to prevent leaking.

Sheetrock was installed inside over the concrete wall. Although this covered some bright Native American graphics, the youth library seems lighter with the white wall. On Monday when the library board met, Hamilton said the wall still needs some trim but is otherwise complete.
