42 active Covid cases in Alva

December 24, 2021

As of Monday, Dec. 20, Alva has 42 active cases of Covid-19 according to the Oklahoma State Department of Health (OSDH) online database. Active cases less than five are shown as 1 to 4. Both Freedom and Waynoka fall in that category. No information was listed for Dacoma.

The risk level map for the state this week shows only two counties in the green or new normal category with less than 1.43 cases per 100,000 of population. One of those, Harper County, adjoins Woods County on the west.

Several counties are in the yellow or low risk level with 1.43 to 14.29 cases per 100,000 of population. Grant County is the nearest county at the yellow level.

Most of the state including Woods County falls in the orange or moderate risk level. That indicates more than 14.29 cases per 100,000 of population.

You can find reports online at Oklahoma.gov/covid19.html. Scrolling down will bring up a link to Additional Community Dashboards where you’ll find the community level data including vaccination rates and active cases by zip code or by community.
