Looking back at February 2021, we begin with the tragedy of an early morning fire that claimed the lives of two Waynoka residents and two firefighters. As the month winds down, Alva High basketball teams are in the playoffs. It was a month of below zero temperatures causing electrical power grid problems. High interest in the municipal election caused a record number of filings for Alva city offices.
