The flu cure

January 16, 2022

I am one of the first to get the flu cure because it was Feb. 1, 1994.

National TV says no one can say anything about medicine unless they are a doctor but one company advertised a flu cure on TV for three months prior to the Covid arrival. The ad said it only took one pill, and it cost about $40 each. It does not cost that much to produce the pill but it needed money for the nationwide ads. I know how much it costs for the pills because my prescription for 14 pills cost me $12.95. Divide that by 14 and you get a small price for one. It only took me one pill and 30 minutes to be over the flu. Before I took the pill, all my body ached, I was sick at my stomach and did not even want to move. After I was cured, I decided to take it easy and took another pill after 8 hours. I did not take the rest of the 14 even though I know I was supposed to take all of them.

So if it has been advertised publicly, I can say something public about it. I told a friend about my pills a few years later and he said he also got that flu pill but it was a different company, and he only got one pill. So, by then, the doctors and companies had found out that it only took one pill to get cured quickly.

I did not get those first pills in Oklahoma but in Texas. The doctor said he could see that I did not have a throat infection so he would not give me an antibiotic but an antivirus instead. I laughed and told him that there was not any such thing as an antivirus medicine. He said it was new and gave me the prescription.

I looked up the medicine on the internet in later years and found out that it was new in Feb. 1994

When my friend said he got a pill of a different brand, he looked it up and found that there were three names of antivirus medicine. The one that was advertised on TV makes four kinds.

Over the years I wondered why there were a lot of people who were not taking the flu medicine. I saw the same story Marione saw about two people in Oklahoma dying of the flu, and I decided it was time to say something about it. In the past, I had been thinking that all the doctors and medicine companies knew about the medicines so there was no need for me to say something about it.

I still have that medicine bottle from Texas. I do not want to say what happened to the rest of the pills I do not want to say that after 20 years on the shelf they still worked. It is absolutely not proper to ever use old pills.

There were no adverse reactions to the pills. They do not make people drunk. There is no danger of taking too many if you only get one to start with. So why are there so many people who are not taking the pill? Several football teams reported late in the season that they had 20 people out with the flu (not Covid). Did their team doctors not know about flu shots and flu cures? I might know.

A friend looked up Flumadine on the internet and found that the CDC in Atlanta did not recommend using the pill. The reason they gave was that since the flu changes from year to year so it MIGHT not work the next year. It might be interesting for Atlanta reporters to research how many CDC employees have ever been given prescriptions for that medicine.

What about Covid cures? There was one story last week about pills that were approved by the FDA as a cure or partial cure. At the last of the story they said there already has been a cure that was an injection or used through an IV tube. Not a prevention but a cure. The last thing the story said was that it might take three months for the pills to be available. Why have we not heard about the injection already in use or why have we not heard anything about the thousands of trials for the pills? When the Covid preventions were being tested we heard stories about it for months

Was there not one reporter in the national news who knew the cure pills were being tested?

Now here is an opinion. I believe the flu pill should be over the counter rather than prescription and everyone can buy two pills to keep on hand in case they get the flu on Friday, after the doctor closes for the weekend.

What does the flu do? It weakens the body in several ways so a bacterial infection can get in the nose, sinus, throat and lungs. If a victim waits a week for the flu to run its course, that bacterial infection might kill them.

Sometimes in the past I have written something funny but I find nothing funny about the flu or Covid. I have lost several friends and neighbors recently.

Apology: When the doctor in Texas told me there was a flu cure I did not believe him because I figured that a medicine that great would have caused a huge amount of publicity. Now I believe.
