Velma Mae (Mease) Thom, 93, of Medicine Lodge, Kansas, died Monday, January 17, 2022, at Medicine Lodge Memorial Hospital with her family at her side.

She was born on June 11, 1928, near Isabel, Kansas, to Byron and Bertha (Price) Mease.

Velma graduated from Isabel High School in 1946. She attended Southwestern College for two years before the love of her life after returning from war said, "Marry me now or never." They did.
