Woods County Excise Board approves monthly appropriations

The Woods County Excise Board met Wednesday morning to confirm financial affairs of the county. Present for the meeting were Chairman Joe Shirley and member Bob Seivert. Chris Olson was absent.

After approving minutes of the last meeting the following monthly appropriations were approved.

District #1 Highway Cash $144,210.38

District #2 Highway Cash $141,788.96

District #3 Highway Cash $139,179.81

District #1 CBRI Fund-105 $12,280.90

District #2 CBRI Fund-105 $12,280.90

District #3 CBRI Fund-105 $12,280.90

Enhanced 911 $17,533.26

Assessor’s Fee $759.25

County Clerk’s Lien Fee $1,091.51

County Clerk’s Preservation Fee $2,420.00

Sheriff’s Revolving Fund $849.97

Court Clerk Payroll $4,302.76

Treasurer’s Resale $2,243.46

Sheriff’s Commissary $32.93

Sheriff’s Service Fee, CHS $5,622.98

Mortgage Tax $135.00

Federal Rescue Plan Act of 2021 $422.63

Court Clerk RM & P $249.75

Board members acknowledged County Clerk Shelly Reed’s report on the transfer of appropriations within the Highway Fund from District 1 CIRB account to personal services in the amount of $15,209.76 and District 2 CIRB account to personal services account in the amount of $154,209.76.


Shirley made a motion seconded by Seivert to approve the transfer of funds to the ETR fund for payment from District 2’s CBRI in the amount of $10,000. The motion carried.

Excise board members also approved the transfer of funds from the Court Clerk Revolving Fund to the Court Clerk Payroll Fund in the amount of $12,308.32.


Under new business Clerk Reed informed the board of the notice she had received from the Center for Local Government Technology stating effective November 1, 2021, each member will need to complete an addition three hours of training yearly plus the other training requirements each member must do within 12 months of their appointment.
