An annual event for area women, the Intra-City Salad Supper, has been canceled. The annual gathering hosted by Presbyterian Women had been scheduled for Monday, Feb. 7.

Patty Harkin, one of the event's organizers, said the event was canceled because of the rapid increase in the rate of Covid infection in the area.

The participating churches have been notified, Harkin said in an email, but hoped to ensure all women planning to attend are made aware of the cancellation.

“We will not be hosting the event because of our concern about Covid numbers in our community,” Harkin said.
