Woman dies after being hit by car in Wichita

WICHITA, Kan. (AP) — A 73-year-old woman died after she was hit by a car over the weekend, Wichita police said Tuesday.
Officers were called to private property in east Wichita on Saturday afternoon. They found Luella Beemer injured, police spokesman Trevor Macy said. Beemer died later at a hospital.
Macy said investigators determined a 15-year-old girl was backing out of a parking stall and hit Beemer, who was getting into her own vehicle.
