Alva School Board discusses ways to improve post-Covid student performance

A large part of the Alva Board of Education meeting Monday, Feb. 7, was spent in discussing how to overcome the setback in academic test scores seen since the onset of the Covid-19 pandemic.

Alva School Superintendent Tim Argo began with information on the school’s strategic plan. “Each section of our strategic plan had a goal area and provided a time line,” he said. “As we all know, our timeline has been difficult to hold true as a result of Covid, but it doesn’t mean we’ve stopped working.”
