OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) — An Oklahoma City woman has been arrested in the fatal stabbing of a 7-year-old boy believed to be her son, police said.
Carina Romero, 27, was arrested on a murder warrant in the death of Jamie Garcia III, said Sgt. Gary Knight.
Knight said the woman is believed to be the boy's mother, but that has not been confirmed.
The boy's body was found Saturday inside Romero's southeast Oklahoma City home by officers responding to reports of a disturbance, Knight said. The body was sent to the state medical examiner's office to formally determine the cause of death.
