The Freedom school board called a meeting at 7 a.m. Monday but voted to reconvene at noon for the business meeting.
Some business was conducted – the board approved the consent agenda – but then it broke for a 30-minute executive session. Upon return to open session, the board voted to re-hire Michelle Shelite as the school's principal. In a separate vote, they approved her contract, the details of which were not specified.
