Sheriff Rudy Briggs Jr. was named the Public Safety Professional of the Year at the Gala Thursday night.
Rudy Briggs Jr. serves as the Sheriff of Woods County. He helps to provide law enforcement services for Woods County, perform courthouse security, serve civil papers, transport prisoners, and maintain the Woods County Jail.
Briggs is married to Melissa and has three sons, Cody, Zach, and Tanner, and a granddaughter Olivia.
