During the summer of 2021, the Alva City Council established the Swimming Pool Finance Advisory Committee. Over the past seven months, the advisory committee, which consists of Blake Jordan, Paul Barton, Dalton Beeler, Kim Baugh, Brandon Sherman, Alyson McDermott Penco and Dr. Kay Decker, has met regularly to develop the plan of action for financing, constructing a new swimming pool and improving the City’s outdoor recreational facilities.
