Northwestern hires Young to be assistant track and field, assistant cross country coach

ALVA, Okla. – Northwestern Oklahoma State and head coach Jill Lancaster announce the hiring of Derrick Young Jr. to the Northwestern Oklahoma State University Track and Field staff. This will be his first season with the Rangers as he is set to begin immediately for the upcoming and current season.

"Coach Derrick Young Jr. brings a tremendous amount of experience in the sport of Women's track & field and Cross Country. He definitely has the enthusiasm, knowledge and skills to help us push toward a GAC championship. He is a tremendous person, exceptional recruiter with a great coaching resume....
