Alva Middle School Students of the Month

The teachers at Alva Middle have selected Kimberlie Willis and Aiden Brinkley, 8th grade; Kynlee Murrow and Traycen Bush, 7th grade; and Lydia Bushman and Elijah Newton, 6th grade as AMS Students of the Month for January.
Kimberlie Willis is in 8th grade and is the daughter of Danny and Nancy Willis. Her grandparents are Kenneth and Karen Moore. Her favorite classes are math and band. She is involved in the academic team, student council, BizKid$, band, and playing drums at church. In the future, she would like to be a lawyer.
Aiden Brinkley is in 8th grade and is the son of James and Ashley Brinkley. His grandparents are Junior and Tracie Scott. His favorite classes are history and band. He is involved in theater and stage crew at Act I Theatre, art, and band. He also likes to create and edit videos, draw, and paint. In the future, he would like to be an actor and director. Additionally, he loves working with little kids at the theatre and working with computer generated images and the green screen.
Kynlee Murrow is in 7th grade and is the daughter of Caleb and Alesa Murrow. Her grandparents are Mike and Ronda Rhodes, Michelle Shelite, and her Papa Restle. Her favorite classes are science and choir. She is involved in TSA, art class, choir, and swim team. In the future, she would like to be an interior designer or a dermatologist.
Traycen Bush is in 7th grade and is the son of Jef and Millie Bush, and Jon and Tabitha Talley. His grandparents are Phil and Cynthya Cozee, and Rick Diefenbach. His favorite classes are geography and Tween Living. He is involved in track and BSA Scouts. He is not sure what his future yet holds for him.
Lydia Bushman is in 6th grade and is the daughter of Brandon and Amelia Bushman. Her grandparents are Dwight and Roxine Bushman, and Erol and Sharon Hada. Her favorite classes are social studies and technology education. She is involved in basketball and track. In the future, she would like to own a restaurant.
Elijah Newton is in 6th grade and is the son of Timothy and Michelle Newton. His grandparents are Carl and Jackie Newton, Teresa Richey, and Lizabeth Richey. His favorite classes are reading and band. He is involved in student council, RE, and BSA Scouts. He is still undecided about his future career.
These students received lunch provided by Gambino's of Alva as an extension of the AMS Positive Behavior Intervention and Supports (PBIS) Program implemented in the Alva Public Schools. The Students of the Month Program at AMS is sponsored and organized by Ms. Kandee Almgren.
