Alva Church of God

Sunday school begins at 9:30 a.m. and worship at 10:30 a.m. with Pastor Nathan Braudrick. Alva Church of God is located at 517 Ninth St. in Alva and can be found on the web at http://www.AlvaChurchOfGod.org.

Sunday: Sunday school is at 9:30 a.m. and morning worship is at 10:30 a.m. Evening worship begins at 5:30 p.m. Young adults gather at 6:30 p.m.

Wednesday: Wednesday services include 7 p.m. Bible Study, and youth group also meets at 7 p.m.

Alva Friends Church

Please meet us for coffee and donut fellowship at 10:15 a.m. every Sunday morning. Worship is at 10:30 a.m. If you cannot make it in person, we are on Facebook at Alva Friends Church Group. The church is located at the corner of College Avenue and Center Street.

Barnes Street Church of Christ

Sunday worship services will be at 10:30 a.m. and 6 p.m. (7 p.m. during daylight savings time). Visitors are most welcome to attend the worship services. For more information, contact Andrew Rhodes (327-3368) and Brian Gaddy (327-5130).

Bible Baptist Church

Sunday: Are you looking for a church with honest worship and Biblical preaching? Come and visit Bible Baptist Church. We would be honored by your visit to our services.

Our Family Discipleship will start at 9:30 a.m. There are three graded classes for children, a teen class, and two adult Bible classes. Join us for a time of learning and fellowship. Family Discipleship emphasizes family learning and will provide the tools necessary to help parents teach the Bible to their children.

Bible Baptist Church joins in our Sunday morning service at 10:30 a.m. Join us as we worship the Lord and look into His Word. Our sermon series, “Mosaics of His Majesty: A Study of the Minor Prophets” continues.

Junior and Teen Impact meets at 5:30 p.m. This group is for students from fourth grade through high school. Our evening service will begin at 6 p.m. Wise Guys, a character-based program for pre-K to third grade, also begins at 6 p.m.

Tuesday: Celebrate Recovery meets on Tuesday nights from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Celebrate Recovery is a Christ-based recovery program to help provide a safe place to discover a Savior who can give freedom from hang-ups, hurts and habits. Everyone is invited to attend.

Wednesday: Our Wednesday Refuel prayer meeting and Bible study starts at 6:30 p.m.

Capron United Methodist Church

Come visit us at the little church on the prairie. Church service begins at 9:30 a.m.

Cedar Grove Wesleyan Church

Pastor Nathan Hosier and the Cedar Grove family invite you and your family to come this Sunday to worship with us. Rev. Don Hosier will share a message. We will livestream the sermon if you are not able to come in person. Search for Cedar Grove on Facebook. We look forward to seeing you.

We are a country church that serves Christ and community with agape love. Come join us every Sunday for Sunday school at 10 a.m. Worship service will be at 11 a.m. Our worship service has a blend of contemporary and traditional music. We have a group study Sunday evening at 6 p.m. at the church. Our youth will meet on Wednesday at 6 p.m. Our Worker Appreciation is every other Tuesday.

Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints

The Alva Branch of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has returned to a full regular meeting schedule. Sacrament meeting (worship service) begins at 10 a.m., followed by regular second-hour meetings for children, youth and adults. Visitors are always welcome. The building is located at 1467 Thunderbird, Alva, next to the Alva Recreation Center. Anyone wanting to learn more about the church can contact the missionaries at 580-491-1501.

College Hill Church of Christ

College Hill Church of Christ is currently meeting only Sunday morning (9:30 class, 10:30 worship) and Wednesday night at 7 p.m. No Sunday afternoon service or meal.

Dacoma United Methodist Church

Everyone is welcome. Fellowship coffee and doughnuts are at 8:45 a.m. Worship service with Rev. Don Jones is at 9 a.m.

eXtreme Youth Center

The eXtreme, located at 425 College Ave. in Alva, is a ministry of Hopeton Church. Students in sixth through 12th grade are invited to come hang out, play games, work on homework and enjoy time with friends after school from 3 to 5:30 p.m. The eXtreme is available to rent for parties and events. First Assembly of God

Morning worship begins at 10:45 a.m. each Sunday morning. We currently do not have an evening service.

First Baptist Church

Notice: First Baptist will continue to livestream its services for the time being.

Sunday: 9:15 a.m. small groups, 10:30 a.m. morning worship with nursery provided.

Tuesday: Noon Brown Bag Bible Study. Bring your lunch and enjoy the fellowship.

Wednesday: 3 p.m. Sharing at Share Convalescent Home, 6 p.m. Youth (seventh grade and up).

First Christian Church

Sunday: We will have church services at 10:30 a.m. in the sanctuary. Worship will be both inside the sanctuary and online via Facebook live (www.facebook.com/FCCAlva).

Kelly Parker will be scripture reader. Serving elders will be Jason Gaisford (communion prayer) and Kelly Parker (dedication of offering). Deacons will be Melanie Gasiford (captain), Dylan Whitely and Meghan Kirtley (greeters), and Darren Whitely (counter). Kyle Woods and Mason Orcutt will handle audio and video. Corbyn Austin will be in the nursery. Emily Bohlen and Kelly Parker will lead Sunday school and Children's Moments. Allison Inman will lead Worship and Wonder.

First Presbyterian Church

Sunday: First Sunday of Lent. Worship will be held at 11 a.m. with Rev. Ron Pingelton bringing the sermon “Lent is Time to Test.” Liturgist will be Kristie San Soucie. Readings will be Psalm 91:9-16 and Luke 4:1-13.

Wednesday: Youth group meets at 6 p.m. for a meal and Christian education. Ash Wednesday service will be at 6:30 p.m.

Next Sunday, March 6: Session meets at 2 p.m.

First Presbyterian Church is at 628 Church Street. ALL are welcome.

First United Methodist Church

Located at the corner of College and Church and online at fumcalva.com, Sunday school for all ages is at 9:30 a.m. and worship begins at 10:30 a.m. We look forward to seeing you.

Gaisford Ministries/Midwest Healing Center Oklahoma

Nazarene Church

Donut and coffee fellowship is at 9:15 each Sunday morning, Bible study for ages 6 and up at 9:30, and worship begins at 10:30 a.m. Nursery is available for children under age 6 during worship. Missions lessons for ages 6 through fifth grade are held the second and fourth Sundays of the month.

Sacred Heart Catholic Church

The celebration of Holy Mass (Jesus in the Eucharist) is the source of our spiritual nourishment. Rev. Father Bala, Sagili Jesudas, is the parish priest (pastor) of Sacred Heart in Alva and its missions in Cherokee and Waynoka. You are welcome; be a part of the Sacred Heart Parish family.

Saturday: Waynoka services at Our Mother of Mercy Church include Sacrament of Confession at 4:30 p.m. and Holy Mass (Eucharist) at 5 p.m.

Sunday: Alva services at Sacred Heart Church include Sacrament of Confession at 8:15 a.m., Holy Rosary (1 and 3 Sundays) at 8:30 a.m., Holy Mass (Eucharist) at 9 a.m. Cherokee services at Saint Cornelius Church include Holy Rosary at 11 a.m. (all Sundays), Sacrament of Confession at 11:15 a.m., and Holy Mass (Eucharist) at 11:30 a.m.

Town and Country Christian Church

Sunday school will be at 9:30 a.m. and Sunday worship at 10:30 a.m.

Zion Lutheran Church

Please join us on Sundays for Sunday school and worship with us at Zion Lutheran Church (Missouri Synod) at Third and Maple streets.

Sunday school (children and adults) begins at 9:15 a.m. Fellowship is at 10 a.m. Worship starts at 10:30 a.m. with Communion on the first and third Sundays. During Advent and Lent, Zion holds Wednesday services at 7 p.m.

Weekly Happenings: Weekday School (grades 4-6) meets on Wednesday at 3:30 p.m. Handbells practice Mondays at 5 p.m.

Monthly meetings: Pitch Group (first Sunday evening of the month), Ruth Circle (first Monday of the month at noon), LWML (first Tuesday of the month at 6 p.m.), Seasoned Saints (third Tuesday at 1 p.m.), Youth Group.
