Gary L. Jeffries was born on June 16, 1940, to Kenneth and Hazel (Leslie) Jeffries. He departed from this life on February 23, 2022.

He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law Travis and Amy Jeffries and grandchildren Iree and Joah Jeffries of Enid.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth and Hazel Jeffries, and one brother, Owen Jeffries.

Gary was raised in the Carmen–Dacoma area and graduated high school from Lambert in 1958. As a young adult, Gary briefly moved to Austin, Texas, working at JC Penney and later managing a Kenny’s Shoe store. Quickly returning to his roots...
