Alfalfa County enacts emergency burn ban

The Alfalfa County commissioners held an emergency meeting following Monday morning's regular meeting. Commissioner Jay Hague said he spoke to several of the county's fire chiefs who were nervous about high winds and dry conditions – especially in the wake of the fire down by Ames in Major County over the weekend. As a result, Hague and the other two commissioners, Mike Roach and Marvin Woodall, enacted a seven-day burn ban countywide.
