A Cherokee woman told police she was abducted from her place of business by a man with a gun. After texting a friend and calling 911, she was later able to escape from the man’s home.
According to court records, on Saturday, March 5, Cherokee Police Chief Ryan McNeil responded to a report of a kidnapping from a business at 112 N. Loop in Cherokee. The victim, Eden Lee Penoyer, reported that Clinton Michael Green came into the business about 1:30 p.m. and forced her to leave with him while armed with a firearm.
