Burlington Public School proposes a building project that will update the facility and make it possible for the Elks to host district and regional events in a new gymnasium and Community Fitness Center. The Little Gym will be remodeled into a new cafeteria to replace the one this reporter ate in as an elementary student in the mid-1960s. The FFA will have a new Greenhouse. The third- and fourth-grade classrooms will move out of a portable building and into the existing locker rooms that were built a few years ago.
