Mava Dawn Powell, 82, of Hardtner, Kansas, died Sunday, April 3, 2022, at Medicine Lodge Memorial Hospital.

She was born on November 11, 1939, in Alva, Oklahoma, the daughter of J.B. "Buck" Whitchurch and Lola (Gilleland) Whitchurch.

Mava was a 1957 graduate of Medicine Lodge High School. She was a member of the Alva Chapter 1643 Women of the Moose. Mava was the second highest rank with the Moose and her and Jim went to all of the Moose functions over the years.
