A physical fight between two Alva residents resulted in the death of one man while the other is charged with murder. The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation (OSBI) says Peter Christopher Lewis, 53, of Alva, was stabbed four times and pronounced deceased at Share Medical Center emergency room in Alva Friday night.

On Monday, April 4, in Woods County Keaton Dale Smith, 19, of Alva, was charged with murder in the second degree, a felony. This crime is punishable by imprisonment for ten years to life.
