Ashley Ferguson attended the Monday meeting of the Woods County commissioners to discuss her new role with the Oklahoma State Department of Health. As of April 1, Ferguson is the new regional administrative director for District 1. Although she will continue to be based in Alva, the new position means she will be traveling to the other nine northwest Oklahoma counties in the district. Ferguson said six of the ten counties have health departments while the other four receive basic services.
