NWTC receives grant for Blessing Box from Alva Co-op, Land of Lakes

The Alva Farmer's Coop and the Land of Lakes Foundation recently made a donation to the Blessing Box Project at Northwest Technology Center. Kala Mead, BioMedical Sciences Instructor and NWTC staff and students have worked to stock the Blessing Box for several years. Northwest Technology Center received a grant for its Food Pantry/Blessing Box with donations from the Alva Farmer's Cooperative Association and the Land of Lakes Foundation in St. Paul, Minnesota. The donation of $1000 from the Alva Farmer's Cooperative Association was matched by the Land of Lakes Foundation.

According to Morgan Kinross-Wright, Executive Director of the Land of Lakes Foundation, "As a part of our commitment to rural communities we are pleased to match donations which help enhance the quality of life.
