Wichita man who repeatedly attacked woman sentenced

WICHITA, Kan. (AP) — A Wichita man has been sentenced to 19 years and four months in prison for repeatedly attacking a woman in his home, Sedgwick County authorities said.

Will Johnson, 35, was sentenced Tuesday after pleading guilty in February to 22 counts involving four cases alleging abuse of the woman in 2019, The Wichita Eagle reported.

In the most serious assault, Johnson beat, strangled and stabbed the 29-year-old woman on Aug. 29, 2019, Sedgwick County District Attorney Marc Bennett said in a news release.

She suffered several cuts and a broken jaw, skull and nose, court records show....
