The annual Egg Drop was held on April 16 on the north side of the Alva downtown square. Despite wind and chilly weather many lined up to catch a raw egg tossed from up to 52 feet high. Between each round, plastic eggs filled with prizes, discounts and candy by Alva Merchants were tossed to the crowd.
Winners of the egg drop were: 1st Place – Grant Ritter, winning $100; 2nd Place – Garrett Ritter, winning $50; and 3rd Place – Lance Heaton, winning $25.
This year's Egg Drop was sponsored by the Alva Pumpkin Patch, Paul Corr Family and Schuessler Real Estate....
