The "Sun, Fun and Friends" exhibit is ready for viewing at Graceful Arts Gallery in Alva. In addition to beautiful oils and pastels, a table display shows cards, prints and t-shirts by the artists.

The outdoors is depicted in this month's display at Graceful Arts Gallery in Alva. Vibrant oils and delicate pastels depict the beauty of nature in the "Sun, Fun and Friends" exhibit. Featured artists are Jill Webber, Jude Tolar and Sharon Sudduth. At least two of the artists plan to attend the First Friday Art Walk event this evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at the gallery.

In addition to showing the work of professional artists, the gallery hosts art classes for all ages. Tonight the advanced acrylics students will be displaying their work at the gallery. Featured youthful artists are Libby Keller, Joplin Bradt, Lyla Schmidt and Dominique Garcia.

Refreshments will be served, and Freddie Riggins will provide musical entertainment. You can also get information on the Alva Community Garden as well as the June 4 Nescatunga Arts Festival, Sugar Show and Salt Fork June Jam.

For more viewing enjoyment, Alva High School students will be holding a show at the Runnymede on the northeast corner of the downtown square.
