Pickleball meeting set for Thursday

After receiving several local inquiries about starting pickleball in Alva, the Alva Recreation Center (ARC) has purchased initial startup equipment. Pickleball has become a very popular activity over the past several years across the nation, especially with seniors, due to its low impact type exercise with easily learned rules.

Since Alva has minimal activities for seniors, an initial summer league will be offered (indoor) at ARC. Anyone over 50 who is interested in learning more can attend an informational meeting at ARC on Thursday, May 12, at 5:30 p.m. or contact Courtney at ARC.
