Eva Elizabeth Painton passed away on May 5, 2022, at the amazing age of 100. Eva was born on the family farm south of Capron, Oklahoma, April 22, 1922, to Phillip W. Eggstein and Anna Eva Eggstein.

Eva was preceded in death by her parents and by her brother, Francis Eggstein, and sister, Mary Gatz, both of Alva.

She graduated from Capron High School in 1940. Soon after, she started working as a waitress at Clara's Café in Alva. It was there she met Dallas A. Painton when he was delivering Golden Crust Bread to the café. It was love at first sight! They were married in Alva on April 18, 1943. T...
