Burlington School Board hires girls basketball coach, accepts two resignations

The Lady Elks have a new basketball coach. The board approved hiring Margo Hamilton as girls basketball coach for the 2022-2023 school year as recommended by Superintendent Kevin Brown.
This was after an approximately 30 minute executive session at a special meeting of the Burlington School Board held May 11.
Hamilton is a Northwestern Oklahoma State University Hall of Famer. According to BHS Principal Gerrett Spears, Hamilton is a graduate of Canute High school, played on the Lady Rangers basketball team from 1993 to 1997 and ran cross country from 1995 to 1996. Hamilton, who averaged 14.3 po...
